NICE D&R, a South Korean company specializing in rental-based electronic bidding and e-contract services, unveiled its open private electronic bidding service, “Q-Bid,” on the 28th.
Q-Bid is an open private electronic bidding service that can be used without an onboarding fee, similar to KONEPS operated by the Public Procurement Service (PPS). It is designed for broad use across industries and company sizes in the private sector. Companies can register bid notices and participate without any upfront implementation costs, making it easier for businesses that have been hesitant to adopt electronic bidding. The platform also includes corporate information features from NICE D&B Co., Ltd., a NICE Group affiliate, allowing users to check the company details and credit ratings of both bidders and participating firms. The company expects this to improve transaction stability and trust.
NICE D&R plans to develop Q-Bid beyond a simple electronic bidding service by gradually adding core functions across the broader B2B procurement process, including contracts, payments, and purchasing. A company official said, “Our strategy is to connect the entire workflow, from bidding to contract signing, payment processing, and purchase management, in one seamless flow, thereby improving efficiency for corporate clients and providing a more integrated procurement environment.”
NICE D&R currently operates a range of B2B services focused on streamlining corporate administration and operations, including electronic wage payments to prevent unpaid labor costs through Nomubi.com, electronic tax invoice issuance through NICE Bill, and corporate card expense management for employees through Autobill. Building on this experience, the company plans to evolve Q-Bid into a comprehensive procurement platform that goes beyond a simple bidding system.
A NICE D&R official said, “Q-Bid is the solution that best matches current market trends, where fair bid management is essential.” The official added, “With 16 years of operating know-how, free implementation, and NICE Group’s corporate information data, Q-Bid will be the best option for any private company considering the introduction of a transparent electronic procurement system.”
