We are excited to announce that the 2025 BIIA Conference, at which we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary, will take place from June 4th to June 6th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The theme for our 2025 conference will be

Digital Finance and Commerce in Industry 4.0

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0 or 4IR, has ushered in an era of unprecedented technological advancements that are profoundly influencing all aspects of the global economy.

The rapid adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and quantum computing are expected to transform the economy, society, government and environment of countries worldwide.

For businesses, understanding these technological shifts is critical to ensuring sustainable growth. For regulators it presents a significant challenge in trying to achieve a balance between facilitating the adoption of these new technologies to help stimulate economic growth whilst ensuring that individuals and businesses are protected.

The use of emerging technologies is having a significant impact on digital finance and commerce including the speed and velocity of information and enhanced analytics. How should the information industry be adapting to these changes? What is the role of the industry in supporting its customers as digital finance and commerce continues to evolve as part of Industry 4.0?

Whilst the growing digital transformation of the global economy presents unparalleled opportunities it also raises critical cybersecurity considerations, with new technologies being actively used for financial crime as much as for financial good. What are the key trends and what can be done to counter the threats? How can the information industry support the fight against cybercrime?

With the relentless pace of change, what are the next new technologies on the horizon as part of Industry 4.0 and what will be the role of the information industry?

Join us in Kuala Lumpur from June 4th to 6th to hear from Senior Executives from the Information, Technology, Financial Services and Trade Credit industries discuss these questions as part of the following topics:

  • The 4th Industrial Revolution and digital business
  • The use of technology in digital finance and commerce
  • The role of regulation in the digital economy
  • Sustainability and the role of data and technology
  • What are the next big game changers in the 4th Industrial Revolution?
  • Cyber and fraud threats with digital business
  • Data and analytics in the world of digital commerce
  • 20 Years On – What’s changed and what’s coming up with Industry 4.0
